Most family, friends, and mates of incarcerated loved ones don’t understand the importance of showing someone in prison you love and care about them.

Showing your Incarcerated Loved One that you Care

Love and Care must be shown to a prisoner through actions.

If you have someone in your life that is incarcerated, here are some ways to show them you mean what you say:

1: Take a few moments out your day to take some photos for them. Photos are priceless to someone in prison.  An inmate receiving pictures in the mail is like Christmas for them! Photos of yourself, the kids, family, and scenery within your state or country. If the inmates birthday is coming up, buy them a cake with their name on it and send some photos of you holding the cake and smiling 🙂

2: Order your incarcerated loved one some magazines, their local newspaper, or buy them some reading or educational books you know they’ll enjoy reading.

3: Make them a personal calendar with your photos of what you think they would enjoy seeing.

4: Create a personal email account for them. Tell friends and family to send messages and pictures. Frequently mail them whatever comes to their account.

5: Pick a favorite TV show, news program, or topic and write about them.

6: If there are children, send their report cards, books reports, copies of projects they worked on, etc.  Make the incarcerated parent feel involved with their child/children’s lives.

7: For those in relationships or married, put perfume or cologne on all letters and cards. For the ladies; all men appreciate letters with lipstick kisses and make sure you take some sexy pics for your man. That’s a MUST!

I guarantee that taking the time to do even just one of these things will put a big smile on the face of your incarcerated loved one.
